Basically mc was kill in the past, and he thought it was ml that kill him, because that was the last thing he remembered. But what he remembered was not the full story. ML didn't kill him, it was the soldier, by the time ml come back mc is dead so ml is probably in rage because he can't protect mc in the past. Now, in ch.6 mc finally remembered the the story that it was ml who has been protecting him all along.
