Me personnally I be defending him cause I see A LOT of ppl saying that Cirrus deserves his happy ending away from Skylar and that now that Cirrus is gone Skylar will get what he deserves. He deserves criticism THAT'S FOR SURE but some haters always seem to forget WHY he's acting this way which is really hypocrite of them
They act like Cirrus is still the manipulative asshole he is. They explain Sky’s reasons for hitting or being abusive in general, and how he made irrational choice and because of trauma.
But if we do the same, it’s bad. I truly believe both Skylar and Cirrus are in the process of developing, they aren’t exactly the same as before—especially Cirrus, he is not manipulating anyone atp.
ONGG ik skylar did things wrong. his actions are not excused, BUT MFS ACTING LIKE CIRRUS ISNT PARTLY TO BLAME AND THATS MAKING ME BLOW i keep repeating part of this situation is just the consequences of cirrus’ earlier actions. he was an asshole at the start, but he’s changed. only skylar found out in the worst way possible and couldn’t make a rational decision. AND IS EVERYONE IFNORING THE FACT THAT SKYLAR IS LITERALLY IN LOVE WITH CIRRUS. he doesn’t hate him he feels betrayed. im mad at what he did (seriously i don’t condone his actions.), but his feelings aren’t in the wrong. if anything i think cirrus and skylar need a break to think things through before deciding on anything.

I mean that’s true. I think OP is just trying to reason why Skylar behaved the way he did. They aren’t justifying Sky’s behavior, but they are just too frustrated with the hate.

i mean yeah that's true but he did apologize and explained why he did that. since then I don't think he's done anything manipulative so i genuinely think he's trying to get better and not pull off some weird shit since he knows that skylar doesn't like when he behaves like that

"did everyone forgot what cirrus did to sky in the beginning" literally no one forgot. but it all happened almost 100 chapters ago and cirrus has already suffered a TON of hate back then when these chapters were released (rightfully so). and skylar's wrong doings are happening now. they're very recent so obviously more people will be talking abt them now. but it doesn't mean that people forgot abt what cirrus did. it's just that there's no point in talking abt them NOW cause he was already very much criticized for them back then. i also think we need to normalize the fact that criticizing skylar doesn't immediately mean hating him we can like a character and still admit that he did something wrong. but skylar fans always treat him like he's some kind of saint
