I interpreted chp80 as in he let them go? Their dead bodies weren't lying there on the ground and I figured him being portrayed as his younger self and them being "spirits" of their former selves running off meant that he let his emotions and childhood bonds with them determine his actions. We already see in that scene he lies to the old lady about why isabel came back to aman (she told him the aman prophecy was fake)...just how i read it as! ╮(￣▽￣)╭

After a lot of rereading...it could also be interpreted as their conversation meaning "they are GOING to die together" as in they aren't dead yet but Isabel's return to Aman and their love for each other sealed their fate. Like she's saying, "Damn, one coulda lived but now they're both gonna get screwed." (￣∇￣") okay im done
