30+ other people liked my comment so I'm not the only one apparently LOL. Tay knows Ilay is a psychopath who has never have liked someone let alone loved, and the times when Tay asked Ilay if he likes him, Tay just gets mocked by him. So of course he's confused.
I think it's a mixture of both. He's been in a predicament this whole time, and only thinking Ilay is using him for his own pleasure/use. But, Ilay also have known Tay since they were children (Tay doesn't remember him), so his interest goes a little bit deeper.
