While it is never ok to kiss someone unconscience, I think this is a special case, because there's a chance that Penelope dies and he has realized that he loves her, so wanted to part from the woman he loves like lovers do. Holding her hand or caressing her wouldn't have the same sentiment as other people like her father would do the same. Also thematically, it's a strong visual/motif that reminds the reader of fairytales where the true love's kiss of a prince resurrects even the dead princesses. So I turn a blind eye to it.
I get called a crazy feminist all the time and my take on stuff like this is: it’s fiction so you’re allowed to close your eyes to parts you think is cute as long as you have the awareness that it wouldn’t be ok if it was real life people. But it’s not so. I liked it, if they were real life people then I wouldn’t like it
My feminist spirit scream it isn't okay to kiss someone when she's unconscious but at the same time he is thinking there a possibility she will die soooo
I don't know, fellows feminists readers, what's your through ? Should we close our eyes on this one ?
