I don't usually read these types of dynamics but ngl this was portrayed pretty well. Also, did anyone notice the detail of him smoking more and more then the revelation that the guy in the book died from LUNG cancer and died in despair because he couldn't have a normal love with the boy?? Then the ML crushing the cigarette box when he and the MC finally confessed their feelings towards each other? Basically symbolizing that it won't end the same way, and that although it wouldn't be a 'normal' love, they'll be able to love each other properly still.
