In my understanding and overthinking, Theo wasn't SAd by his piece of shit father, it didn't come that far since he decided to leave the manor. However, he did make Theo watch and possibly even let him participate in killing, and that is what traumatized and haunted Theo. Theo might also have a mental disorder obviously caused by his poop father. I hope there was a special episode where we are able to see Theo in peace and enjoying life.
