This is one of the yaoi I follow and read, I don’t like the evil stuff the characters did or might do, but I like the story because it’s not completely black & white. There is moral ambiguity mixed with reincarnation, you could say that MC is bad and ML is also bad but is it applicable to this timeline? I mean if you had the chance to change things in your life wouldn’t you change it for better? Like what the MC is trying to do in his current timeline to atone for his past life’s sins, but does that make him good? Or still bad? And the ML has not yet done his atrocities and doesn’t remember anything. Is he still bad? Or is there chance for him to be good?

Just my opinion. Watta long comment. You are not required to read it my dear.

well technically they are re-living due to the promise they made before Aeroc died. Aeroc is not paying for what he has done but actually is trying to save himself from the torture he experienced from his own selfish desires! "I refused to experience that again" said by Aeroc was already a big hint as to why he is paving the way for Raphiel and ML (forgot his name haha)

the ML is originally good before meeting Raphiel but since he was driven by the fact that Raphiel is his mate in order to deny the feelings he have for Aeroc, he just suddenly goes and blames Aeroc for everything because he lost his only chance to have a child that resembles Aeroc (since Raphiel and Aeroc are blood related hence why they're similar by appearance)

both of them are bad but ML is more worst than Aeroc since all Aeroc wanted in the first place was to be loved by ML and obvious intention was to drive Raphiel for divorce, not kill him. Aeroc didn't want what happened while ML knew what he was doing.

He wasn't driven by the fact that Rapiel was his mate. He never even liked Rapiel to begin with. The only reason he married him was because he looked like Aeroc and he was an Omega. Kloff is the most selfish and an absolute bastard.

i meant by driven by the fact that Raphiel is his mate, i meant that he tried to delude himself into believing Raphiel is his mate (even if not)

The ML is never a decent man, he's vain, arrogant, homo(AxA)phobia, self-centered. He wants to marry Rapiel because he's a pretty Omega from respected family (that can help his career) and an Aeroc look-alike. That's it.

well pretty much that's the summary but I've been paying attention to little details so he really isn't that bad in the first place. he's a conservative man (according to Aeroc) so he is allowed to have his own beliefs when it comes to AxA (although he has a physical approach to it...). you're not wrong also about why he married Raphiel but I'm talking about the first life where we didn't have Kloff's POV since it's only surrounded on Aeroc. i am also not wrong when i said that Kloff tried to deny his feelings for Aeroc by believing Raphiel is his mate, it's blatantly obvious.

Who needs a POV on a man to judge his character who literally destroyed a person for their selfishness and arrogance? It's like saying, let's hear the rapists side. As if looking from his side is gonna make the crime he committed less wrong.

technically, we still need the POV of the other person in THIS story because it's a fictional story. he may be bad on both his POV and Aeroc's POV but regardless, this story is about 2 people hence why 2 POVs is required.

if Kloff's POV is the only thing that exists, normally you would side with Kloff because you have no idea what Aeroc is thinking. things like "he deserves it for killing Raphiel" "he deserves it because he's selfish and possessive on someone that isn't his" etc. etc. since Aeroc's side is the one with most exposure, ofc it's only logical we side with the victim but I did not say we need POV to justify a character, we need POVs to UNDERSTAND a character and it's up to you if you still like them or not as long as you can understand the root of the problem in their character.

Never in a million years would I have thought that. I don't know about you but I prioritize knowing every character when it comes to a good plot. And it wouldn't matter to me and I wouldn't find his character and deeds justifiable even if Kloff was the protagonist and we were reading this from his side.

Also, I agree we should have the POV of every character that matters. However, here you are trying to minimize Kloff's crimes by "wanting" to see his side. You cannot explain that is for good.

I do not justify Aeroc's mistakes. And I do not find Kloff forgivable in any universe. It does not matter how his character/behavior was before he met Aeroc. It is about how he acted in situations which could've been dealt with grace.

i apologize if my words sounded like that qwq Kloff really made my stomach hurl in a bad way where I always skip their sex scenes because it's gut wrenching to see how someone is so cruel to a man that's willing to do anything just to repent. Kloff deserves every pain he's experiencing right now, from getting thrown away by Aeroc and many more. never would i ever think that Kloff's POV minimizes his crimes, i may have written it in a way that it sounds like that but that was never my intention the "if Kloff's POVs are the only thing that exists in the story" was just an example of mine on how different things will be if one POV is missing.

It is alright. I apologize for I took my anger out on you based on a misunderstanding. I harbor great distaste for readers who try justifying the crimes and sins committed by the ML because they're handsome. On the contrary, they'll accuse and blame the MC for reacting badly to the ML's actions and behavior. Totally sidelining the horrible acts done by the ML. Such readers swoon over these red/black flag ML's for their good looks and absolutely leave behind their morals.

Many might say that it is fiction and we should not take it so seriously and be the judge of these characters. I find that statement very wrong. Many times fiction are a reflection of reality and the emotions we feel while reading are very much real. So, I believe it is valid that we as readers have the right to judge these characters. And those who fail to see a character beyond their looks and personality prove their inability to uphold good human morals.

I hope we agree on this.
