Do the two even have any kind of chemistry together? Maybe it’s just me but aside from that they’re both attractive, I don’t sense any reason for ilay (except for the sex) to be interested in taeui or vice versa.

But I guess even tho we’re 100 chapters in, we still haven’t gotten to the point of having feelings haha.

I also feel like there is suppose to be heavy plot but maybe I just don’t get it? Everything feels so flat to me ;—;

    I'll explain it to you. Ilay when he was a child was avoided by many kids due to him being "crazy" therefore he doesn't really have any friends and was raised in an household where he is sheltered, it's just that they don't really try to change so he really is built like that. Regardless though, he's still human and is capable of having human feelings. Back then, him and Taeui talked through the phone, Taeui was extremely different in many ways. He isn't cautious, gullible, soft hearted, etc. Ilay was enjoying their conversation and that fact he made his very first friend that isn't scared from him. If we go back to the chapter where Ilay and Tay are locked up on the same jail, Ilay mentions having this childhood friend who was different than others and that he and that friend were close up until "now" because he brutally fucked him and that friend ran away. If we compare the statement of that to the situation him and Tay are in, it's pretty much a metaphor/prediction/hint on the future. Tay ran away from Ilay due to the countless amounts of SA and being used as an item repeatedly which isn't very different from the statement Ilay referred was the reason of their departure. Tay was the childhood friend Ilay has been looking for.

    I'll add in too why Ilay has a type for "petite" boys like Xinlu. Ilay met Jaeui first wherei you can see, he's more on the petite and delicate side unlike Tay. But since Tay and Jaeui are twins, he expected Tay to look similar to Jaeui hence why he was disappointed. Ilay is the only one who clings onto that certain memory in the hopes of meeting Tay officially as promised years ago when they were kids.

    Both Ilay and Tay actually have a chemistry although it isn't really as visible if you don't read their dialogues especially during the sex scenes. For me, this is the only manhwa where sex scenes actually adds to the plot with the characters inner thought/vocalization. Although we rarely see Ilay's course of thought during sex other than "You're mine, Tay" which is actually already a big factor, Tay has alot of rambling out and about. For instance, Tay has this sense of comfort around Ilay which he hates because he knows Ilay is a son of a bitch. Originally, Tay likes Xinlu right? But why does it bother him to have sex with him but lets Ilay do as he pleases? It's not because he's scared of Ilay but because he just automatically submits, although there are instances where Ilay threats him, a majority is where Tay just fully accepts it. Tay vocalized many times how captivating Ilay is in bed, lowkey he does enjoy it if Ilay doesn't force him like what's happening currently. I can't explain further about the inner thoughts of Tay since it's been long since I read the previous chapters but you get it if you do.

    The feeling is there, just not visible. I think this heavily relies on the dialogues more than what's actually presenting on the pictures, this manhwa ultimately is the yapping is needed in order to understand.

    The plot might seem bland for now but it really isn't in the climax yet. In short summary, the main purpose of this manhwa was for Jaeui and Taeui to reunite as family and clear up the "storm" that's about to come. Uncle Chang-in was preparing for something that isn't really explained thoroughly but something will happen! Just read the dialogues thoroughly and maybe you'll get it.

    Sadly, nothing you said felt like news to me and I still don’t feel it …

    their “attraction” still feels extremely shallow to me and the sexual chemistry you mentioned towards each other just isn’t cutting it- especially after 100 chapters of chasing and rape

    Also the “read the dialogue especially when they’re having sex” like … as in my og comment, can they do anything without having “sex” (rape)? Ilay is attractive and can be good in bed - what else?

    And tay was attracted to a cutie, not xinlu. Tay kinda projected his inner sexual fantasies of having a cute partner onto xinlu and we all know how that ended. Maybe there was something more to it since tay still feels guilty about everything that has happened to xinlu but this just adds to them being shallow.

    And stockholm is (sadly) the most common thing in BL just as rape. Him feeling a sense of comfort around ilay (how is this even possible) seems to be the foundation of their chemistry because damn, if tay is still able to feel comfort and live during all of this, then this is true love haha!!

    And as you and I said, the plot is bland and just not there yet. The art is def carrying this for now - which doesn’t mean that the art is suppose to carry the whole show (I haven’t read a manga/manhua/webtoon yet where the story isn’t relying on the dialogue so i’m not too sure what you meant by that;;)

    the plot still seems interesting enough for me to carry on tho haha! I probably sound like a hater but I’m just having difficulties understanding the “deepness” of this. I’m so thankful for the time you took tho, I appreciate any readers who have actual understanding and skills to characterize!! (i might be lacking of it? HAHA) I enjoyed reading your comment!!!

    i understand your point of view, to me mostly it's nothing new so i kind of just understand and accept that not everyone gets this as much as i do mostly because i had to settle to these types of manwhas

    also they can do anything without sex, it's just that Ilay has this thing of marking his own possession like i said he isn't really normal and couldn't depict normal feelings without crazy actions. it's not impossible like it's visible during the time they're locked inside the jail or when they first met irl. Tay is somewhat up for a normal easy going relationship with him if only Ilay wasn't obsessed with holding Tay against his will as a form of "love" because even without the sex, Tay already found a sense of comfort in Ilay (referring to when they're talking through the laptop, talking about books, probably just the early chapters even) it really just escalated badly due to Ilay's actions. so Stockholm syndrome or not, the chemistry was already there, Ilay just had to live up the crazy name unfortunately Tay ran away because he discovered what Chang-in and Ilay was planning but if he didn't, he's probably still at UNHRDO working for Ilay and engage on such activities without hesitation.

    no but fr I totally feel you, one can’t be picky about the BL genre haha ;;;

    I mean, I could totally see myself rereading this as well. I really wanna get this as many others do, because I usually like the crazy ones. And tay seems like a very interesting character as well - he seems so ordinary and normal (as he’s supposed to be compared to his prodigy brother hahah) yet really special and likable!
