I kept waiting for it to be revealed that she knocked over a candle and the fire was her fault. The father was pushing the story to get her to think about it or something?
I thought that was the case too. I was wondering why she was so bothered by him. the situation didn't seem that bad I don't think he was genuinely trying to harm, he just needed a friend. maybe some therapy with the amount of money he had. idk I kinda feel bad.
Imo the guy keeps repeating the same story which made the girl uncomfy and wants to end the 'job' but the guy got attached to the girl because seems like she's the only one actually listened to his story, to the point the guy starts following her everywhere even when he's dead
But also i think the girl starts to hallucinate because she felt guilty when the guy died
The first chapter was meant to be scary? It's just a guy saying his sad story over and over. At a certain point I'd zone out and just take the money. I don't really understand what's so scary about it. The family died in a fire, that's it. A sad story, but not a scary one at all so I don't understand why the girl was so freaked out by the guy. At a certain point wouldn't the shock and freakiness of it wear off? ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
