In this comic, the smutty scenes primarily focus on the FL. I don't think I've ever seen even a hint of phallus, so it's quite tame. It's tasteful.
Does removing it take away from the story? Eh. Not really, other than maybe readers aren't treated to how passionate ML is while intimate.
It seems the official translation removes the smutty bits. I had already seen the raws and when I read chapter #123, I knew immediately I'd be disappointed. （/TДT)/
