I'm an artist and an author so if the story only had one (albeit major) flaw, I will take one. The art is above average-stellar and the story up until there was pretty compelling. I'm the kind teacher who gives students high grades and am heavy handed with my appraisals. Fee things get less than 4 stars for me because if it's under that, I won't read it. It won't be interesting enough to keep my attention and I won't feel like I gave it a fair review if I hadn't read the whole thing.
I'm the math teacher that if you die your work by all the answers were wrong, you'd still get half marks for doing the work. So someone who is good at memorizing equations but horrible at doing actual math could in theory still pass. That's why despite such an important part being abysmal, it's there, it took an interesting turn and it did have an ending... it was just a terrible one that left nearly everything unexplained. Heck, we didn't even get a proper kiss out of the two despite their getting married! But that doesn't, to me, mean the rest of it was as bad.
I don't disagree with your decision to dock 2, I'm just explaining why I'm a little more lenient. I'm likely equally annoyed that this happened though, trust me.
I understand. I'm just really frustrated, you know? I started reading this when it was first added to this site in spring of last year, and I feel kind of cheated. I'm sure I'll change my rating once I've collected myself, and I will admit it was a knee jerk reaction. Regardless, I see your point, and I agree.
I understand your rating too. It's not really as knee jerk as you may think. We get invested in these characters. We fall in love with their love and when we're denied a fully fledged out view into their world, especially when it became so amazing and intricate, it feels like we were kinda betrayed. It's totally ok for you to keep it at what you have. Immediate or not, it's your opinion.
Funny thing is, right after pressing send in my reply to you specifically I was thinking “I feel bad for the people who started reading this right at the beginning. They waited for EVERY chapter for what feels like forever, and then the manhwaka pulls this crap?” and my heart bleed for you guys at that moment. I felt that I wouldn't even be surprised if people who started at the beginning got same enough to just remove their stars completely.
So don't be too hard on yourself. In this discussion I personally think we're both have good points and respond for our current decisions. And because of the nature of opinions as a whole, even if we change them drastically in the future we still will likely have good reasons for doing so.
Anyway have an amazing rest of your day!
I removed a star for that cop-out of an ending. So much was left unexplained.
