so well said. It’s a shame that too many ignorant children have read with manhwa without having the maturity and comprehension skills to grasp it as it is. I also first read this manhwa wayyy too long young but i feel as though it was obvious from the very start that there wasn’t anything romantic about it. It gave me chills, it made me so uncomfortable. it was definitely eye opening at the time. Killing Stalking should have been known as the psychological masterpiece it actually is instead of “a dark yaoi/Bl”. If only it reached a different audience when it blew up those years ago. It’s a real shame. I hope more people read your comment and understand.
Reading this again after 8 years because it’s October and I need some psychological-thriller media in my life. Unlike what I thought 8 years ago in my youthful stupidity, it’s definitely not yaoi
For the people saying it is, it’s not. A horror movie where s-xual cr-mes take place isn’t hentai/porn, it’s a type of depiction and a common reality of Stockholm Syndrome. Just because two men have sex DOESNT make it yaoi, this is a psychological thriller and there are scenes of two men having very disturbing sexual interactions that are brought on by abuse, manipulation, threats, etc.
not to mention Sangwoo is straight, he stays straight, and literally couldn’t even get it up when Yoonbum wasn’t wearing female clothes. He’s not gay, he’s a psycho who used him as a toy, not as a lover or even sex partner
This is not meant to even focus on a relationship, on sex, or on gay men or a mlm relationship. THATS what makes this NOT yaoi. Its explicit, yes, it’s a story that features two men, yes, but those are the only connections made here to Yaoi.
Hopefully that clarifies why this is NOT yaoi and I’m hoping no one sees this as anything more than a psychological situation. Anyways, happy spooky season everyone! Stay safe!
