I'm expecting it to be terrible,tbh.

Im kinda looking forward to it actually. Im fine with them changing some stuff around, it would be boring if it was exactly the same as all of the other adaptations.
The only problem ive got with the trailer is that light looks like som kind of hipster rebel, instead of a model student.

Actually I'm bored with tha fact that they decided to adapt it again just for the profit and a almost secure fanbase(?) I think they could've come up with another story, it's like they're telling me: No, we just want ur money. Anyway I'm sure they'll do a good job,.probably superior to the Japanese version, but then there's the quarrel on the cast..

I doubt I will watch it, I just can't see american actors playing as L and Light :(

Yeah, me too. It doesn't fit to be in western culture. The story about shinigami is almost exclusive to japanese culture. They are going to change almost everything, and it's going to suck. Sounds like they want to ride on the fame of its fandom (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
