off topic but I love how Seth is the only one that really seems to care fore Isis. Osiris is in love with Seth, Neph had a crush on Isis's husband, and her own son obviously respects/loves her to an extent, but like Seth saide, horus isn't a mama's boy. But Seth is the only one who constantly thinks about and considers isis' feelings. I genuinely feel like Seth and Isis need a chapter to themselves, cause for all their faults, those two r special.

True. I’m still surprised Orisis even slept with his sisters since he was so obsessed with his brother. It makes me question why he even married his sister or why he sired a child with her after he was fixed back up.

The answer is in the painting on the wall. It’s not just random scribbles, look up online many people had translated it. So to put it short and spoiler alert,

The real king of eygpt was actually Isis. So to get Seth, Osiris had to manipulate Isis to get the throne. Only when he is the king of eygpt he can bind Seth near him. As for the child, Isis bargained with Osiris (i.e she saved him, he give her a baby). He never wanted the child because he knows… his child is his worst competitor. How does he knows? Because based on the hieroglyph there were 5 siblings instead of 4…. So yeah, i’ll stop here for now, the foreshadowing is too deep in this manhwa.

Ooh makes me want to reread those chapters. What chapters were the paintings on the walls. I can’t wait to discover more. If you have the rest of the spoilers, I would love to learn more. By chance is the nephew aka birdbrain a reincarnation?

Also then why did he decide to have a child with his other sister, I’m guessing it’s to appease Seth who wanted a child?

omg I’m so glad someone pointed this out. Guh I love them so much and their complicated dynamic
And Isis seems to care for Seth as well. Dedicated a temple for her brothers achievements, and I truly believe she doesn’t hate Seth or bring herself to hate him, but can’t forgive him either, as she should she’s a victim of him

And I feel like she wouldn’t be mad at all at seth and Horus’s relationship cuz she feels like Horus can give Seth the protection and reconciliation after that night, one she can’t give herself because she still loves Osiris

I'm pretty sure the main reason isis didn't like Seth was because Osiris liked Seth

Actually it’s implied Seth and Isis were very close prior the incident. I have a theory that Isis may have been his primary caretaker/parental figure when he was demi-god (since once you reach God form you lose your memories as a demi-god). I don’t recall what chapter or if it was an extra but she implies that she was a full fledged god when Seth was a demi-god (which makes the whole thing with Osiris that much creepier).

Oh trust me I completely know but that's why I hate her even more because they had a really close bond and then after seeing that 'incident' she immediately despised seth

Not trying to defend her for her reaction but she knew he wasn’t at fault.

Warning: Very long comment of me giving my hot take on Isis in the story. I think she’s a very interesting complex character who is objectively not a good person but still very enjoyable to see in the story.

Here’s the thing: she was angry at Seth when it happens in that moment (which is when she curses /everyone/ including herself). That moment though is brief and was an immediate emotional reaction before she could logically sort through her feelings. It’s not the right way to react and she also knows this. She knows in that moment she fucked up (even as she curses their family she never sees Seth as someone who intentionally seduced Osiris but rather something pathetic and desperate…pitiable almost).

But afterwards her anger towards Seth is fueled by two things, one is unreasonable and the other is more reasonable.

The first reason, the unreasonable one, is that in her mind Seth robbed her of her revenge. In her mind she believes they should have worked together to take down Osiris. She believes she’s entitled to that due his “infidelity” with Nephthys. Reality is she is not owed this.

The second, and primary, reason is because of how Seth reacted and how he tried to hunt her down. You have to remember he is slaughtering tons of women and children (her primary followers and the humans she cares for) to build his weapon. He is violent and tyrannical. He wanted to force her to marry him to legitimize his right to the throne. Seth was not a good person at the start of the story and while we absolutely understand what lead him to that point it’s far more unreasonable to say that she can’t feel anger and rage towards the way he persecuted her.

So while she was upset about Osiris desiring and raping Seth and she was upset at Seth for simply being the objects of Osiris’s desire, that anger was one she knew was unreasonable and not the primary motive for her actions. Her revenge against Seth wasn’t for being assaulted it was because he lashed out at everyone else. (Almost like she did when she first saw the rape. And it makes you think how similar they are in this way. If things were reversed maybe Seth would’ve reacted similarly.)
