i got mixed feelings

the mc losing weight years later in the end didn't bother me, i think the author made it clear that it wasn't about his weight but their love. very cute.

but I felt so uncomfortable in the beginning with how he was treated (i know bullying isn't supposed to make you feel comfortable) but constantly getting harassed by everybody and it not being addressed ever....and the other guy lying to him and making him dress up as a girl in school so a ghost could touch him, and then thinks his behavior is justified because he likes him. what the hell?! am I not getting something or what?

I wish it showed more of their relationship without it revolving around the mc weight but just fluff and tbh a little smut there wouldn't hurt.

Unfortunately sexual harassment and abuse are SUPER common and "normalized" romanticized and all in BLs. Especially older ones.
Nowadays, yes there are discussions about consent, about rape and how it affects the characters.
But... Yeah. You can't respect yaois (even omegaverse ones), to say anything about it.
You didn't miss anything. That's just how it is...
Also, it's sad that we didn't get to see soft wholesome consented sex between them when he was fat...
Like. You say "it's clear it's about their love and not the weight" but also "revolving around the MC weight".
I know what you meant, but still...
This is a story ABOUT a fat person finding love.
Being desired. And it's really unfortunate to take this all away...
