Be mad for all I care

I think much of his strength lies in skills that other people don't hold high regard of. Like he told the robot dude, he cares a lot about his empire, remembers all the vassals that have passed. He's a sympathetic character and he's determined to do his best (stayed up studying to make sure the deal would be fair and that they wouldn't fall for their tricks). Those aren't weak traits, but we hardly ever recognize them in leaders or require them of leaders because it takes "too much energy." But that's how he leads them too. He knows each person's strengths and weaknesses and he delegates tasks to them accordingly. His confidence is at rock bottom because he knows he, himself, is weak and he knows how vulnerable he is without his people, because his Grand Duke reminds him of this constantly, but instead of recognizing that he has a community that wants to be his shield he constantly blames himself for not being stronger.
And I think that's the point. Showing us that strength is more than what we perceive it to be. It's our kind of mindset that keeps our MC weak af and has other characters underestimating him.

Yeah author did portrayed him that way but thats precisely what I am talking about my expectations were of a strong uke he is doing everything good I am not saying I dislike him or something but yk.. he struggled yes I am talking about weak willed when it comes to the grand duke why he just let him walk over him and let him do whatever he want with him bro literally is forcing himself upon uke and blames it all on him like woww how can someone be this bad

Ahhh yess. Nah I think he is too. I know part of it is because of a miscommunication between them... which I put down below, but I think it's kind of sad he can't become stronger. Even his powers are to buff the people around him in proportion to how much he cares for/loves them or vice versa, but I wish he could at least reach his own goals of being stronger too.
