I get where the suspicion came from especially for someone magically capable and powerful AND have a criminal background. But I'm also sure it's clear as day now how sincere her actions and thoughts are for them to let it go? Plus, they don't know her well past the rumors. Whoever the witch was originally may or may not be evil but then again it seems to me like the image of a witch itself is already bad
