I do feel bad for rashta but not the emperor. He did all this. He took in a slave girl who knew nothing and taught her nothing. He should've taken responsibility for her if he was going to take her in. He should have only put trustworthy ppl around her and reminded her of the position/place.
I don't feel bad for both. Sovishit is cruel and selfish, trashta is the same with different font. She gets more shit on because she's also a bad empress(which isn't surprising since she's not literate or educated)
In the novel, Rashta adores Navier but the emperor spoiled her too much, made her feel like she's above the empress and had promise her that he'll divorce Navier, while still being a teenager.
