no. what mc thought happened in the book he read was actually their first life. so, the first life mc created that book to escape from reality bcs of the abuse and stuff he experienced. meaning, everything was real, except for the current mc who thought that he went inside 'a book' but actually, the book he read was their first life. in this current situation, they both travelled back in time.
