I KINDA remember some maids and other staff thinking she and Ergi might be having an affair because of the amount of time they spent alone. I don’t remember any talk of him being the father. I don’t think Ergi came into play until after pregnancy was announced. Sorry. Like you, I’ve forgotten certain details.
To be honest, I can't remember anyone outside of the main characters, so I always get confused when they mention other people. I am too lazy to reread the whole thing again though. I am kinda just looking forward to seeing Navier's kid at this point.
Also, was there any reason why Duke Ergi decide to plot the downfall of Rashta? I can't remember if it was mentioned before, or did he do it for fun?
