dude was drugged up most of the time and horniness was one of the side effects. with all the crap going on sleeping with his cheating boss was the least of his worries. he even said he didn't care who it was as long as it was a body.
it's also not surprising that he'd feel betrayed, he really bought into the "we're a family" koolaid until that setup.
Drugs are not an excuse to do He’s willing and absolutely aware the man he’s sleeping with is married and has children. He comments on it. He’s not blacked out or so horny/drugged that he can’t find other people. We see Jin coming back and sleeping with Brandon NUMEROUS times.
I get Jin feels surprised but I don’t know how he didn’t see it coming. The guy who said ‘we’re a family’ to multiple people that he betrayed or killed? That Jin saw him betray? Even his own actual family? I thought Jin was smarter than that.
your expectations for him are unrealistic, he’s not the person to turn to for righteous moral judgment is my point. he kills ppl for a living. he exploits ppl by pushing drugs on them. but on the flip side brandon is the one in position of power, why be disappointed in jin when he’s ultimately a victim as well?
jin thought brandon would kill him like he would everyone else if he didn’t serve his purpose, but that may be different from being backstabbed for him. ppl can be smart and still be blinded bc ppl are flawed.
My expectations aren’t unrealistic. I can be disappointed with how it’s written because it seems uncharacteristic of Jin. And Jin didn’t sleep with him because he was scared he’d kill him. That might be your interpretation but I don’t see that at all.
People are flawed, yes. But, from what we’ve seen? This is very uncharacteristic of Jin to sleep with Brandon.
Yeah no, you've not taken drugs and be DEPENDENT on it, and still think that he has a choice in it. The whole thing was carefully orchestrated by Brandon, from the moment he fed Jin drugs, he started sleeping with his underlings. Moving on to the superior who had power over your was just a matter of time. He was a victim in all this, a conscious victim that is, but no less.
Yes, he still has a choice. He always had a choice. I understand addiction is hard but it’s no excuse and I can still be disappointed in his decision.
He is a victim but he isn’t absolutely powerless and without fault like you think he is. He’s a grown man who made a choice to get close to and sleep with Brandon.
You’re welcome to have a different opinion but I hope you’re done trying to argue with me as if I’m not allowed to have mine?
Not sure why Jin was surprised Brandon betrayed him. He knew he was betraying his wife and cheating WITH Jin (ugh. I thought Jin was better than that). And he saw the maaaaany times Brandon betrayed his own underlings and let them die.
Real ‘leopards ate my face’ moment.
