Could it mean something like there's a time limit on how far he could go as a young person before he go back to his old age?

Pretty sure it’s just to make it a thing for him or to make him look different from other characters. He had it since the first chapter but they changed it to make it more obvious from the 10th chapter. His white hair isnt growing
