Yes how dare a slave girl who's been sold and abused since she was 10 years old, I think that she could be anything other than a slave? People should stay in their class. They shouldn't try to escape. In fact maybe that should be a system in all Empires and kingdoms and countries were people who have committed crimes, their children are punished with slavery. Just to add: I think the reason why her actions make her a villain and not survivor of severe injustice we can root for…is that when Rashta’s survival/well being no longer NEEDED to resort to hurting others, she chose to do so. She was a victim who became an aggressor and victimized others once she had that power, rather than a victim who became a sort of hero character people root for…someone who did what she had to survive…and then chose a different path not perpetuating injustice and abuse
