as a disclaimer, I really liked this novel/webtoon from the get go even though it's fucked up, I think it's a realistic portrait of an abusive relationship
now let's see if I remember everything:
- regarding your question, for the seme they definitely are dating but whenever the uke gets wish-washy about it, he gets pissed tf off. it happens at least 2 more times lol it's like uke never learns but at the same time the seme never outright states it until the last time uke misunderstands
now for the other stuff:
- we're very near the end now. uke's brother will show up and, surprise, surprise! he spent all the money just to flop and barely escape back to korea (he ended up getting in debt overseas and it was so bad he had to flee otherwise he would die). the brother only came back because mom said the loan sharks weren't around (which is untrue, they've been tormenting uke as of late whom didn't say anything to protect the mom)
- the loan sharks quickly realise trash brother is back, so they kidnap and threaten him to pay every thing back or they'll dissect everyone in the family to sell their organs. turns out what the uke has been paying them isn't even enough to pay the interest back, they were betting that the brother would show up with the money. the brother gets pissed off because if he knew the loan sharks were still around, he'd flee to somewhere else and let his family get fucked trying to pay off that debt forever
- uke gets pissed with his brother being shitty and selfish but the mom always tries to diffuse the arguments between them. brother decides that their family needs to run away otherwise they'll die, urges everyone to pack their bags and gtfo. uke is afraid and indecisive if he should call seme about this or not. his brother throws his phone away and tells him they need to go, and they try to run away in the middle of the night
- unfortunately the loan sharks approach them disguised as a cab, knock them out, and take them to a hospital's basement. they have a bribed doctor on their side that does this operations for them every time. in the meantime the uke regains consciousness first and sees his brother on the operating table, his mom passed out on the floor and starts panicking
- the doctor is late and turns out it's because he's dead. seme had a tracker placed on the uke, thought he was running away and got angry, tries to find him, understands what is going on, etc. he enters the room and kills the loan sharks, gets his prize and is ready to set off but uke asks him to save his family as well (the seme was literally only there for him lmao). the loan sharks' gang back off when they understand which mafia seme belongs to and asks for forgiveness
- seme is still angry because the uke didn't call him to say what was going on, and uke is so scared because of this whole ordeal that he pledges himself to seme, as in, he'll stay with him forever and will never even move an inch without telling seme everything. seme is pleased as this is what he wanted all along. uke asks if seme erased their debt and seme said no because if he ever decides to back on his word he should know what would be expecting him (i e., death and his organs sold) but as long as they are together the loan sharks wouldn't be messing with him or his family again.
that's more or less the end and then there are a couple of side stories:
- seme loves that uke's body is all battered because it means he'll be holed up at home and depend on him for everything
- once uke gets better he decides to return to university and eventually gets a job at a conceited company (even tho seme always makes fun of his intelligence, uke is actually very smart). he can also go to company dinners as long as he doesn't drink and gets back early (he pretends to have an alcohol allergy so he only drinks water). seme buys them a vacation in hawaii for uke's birthday and proposes to uke there. ofc seme isn't exactly pleased that uke is working so he buys them couple rings, when uke gets back to work he gets all sorts of knowing comments from his work colleagues
- at this point uke is already referring to seme as his lover, both to colleagues (who thinks it's a woman) and also his family (that's how he justified seme saving them). uke visits his mom who just knows by intuition that her freedom and his brother's come from uke selling his life to the seme and she is extremely sorrowful. uke invites her to have dinner at their place to show her he's doing well and his mom feels uncomfortable around seme all the time
- uke is always worried about his mom and seme is jealous/finds it annoying, so he decides to kidnap uke's brother to threaten him into submission so that he never talks to uke again, starts working under seme diligently, and makes him use his salary to also care for their mother. it works because the last time uke visits his family home, his mom is happier that his brother has "finally found a stable job" and things around the house are getting fixed, so uke feels more at ease and that he doesn't have to worry about them as much anymore
- then there's also a side story where they go on vacation to another place for uke's birthday and uke starts feeling indebted because he never celebrates seme's birthday, so he tries to make him a surprise. seme sees him talking to a store clerk when he's buying the gift and gets jealous because he calls uke who lies about where he is (he's buying the gift as surprise). he ends up having to tell everything because seme is pissed thinking he's being cheated on and he tells uke he hates surprises. for some reason uke tries to surprise him with a birthday cake at least, which seme sort of mocks him for
overall the sides stories are basically bits and pieces of their daily lives and how uke gets more and more snared by seme through careful manipulation of small things and gaslighting. even if things are seemingly fine, seme is like a ticking bomb where uke never knows when he'll finally turn on the switch and be mean towards him. with the birthday cake uke sings to him happy birthday and tells him he has to make a wish and seme's wish is that uke gets fired. uke always feels scared or like shit when seme does this type of stuff and then seme plays it off as a joke. makes uke feel guilty and then says it's ok. there's a part when seme is drunk and uke tries to avoid him but seme goes after him and gets a bit crueler than usual. when seme was planning their first trip he doesn't tell uke anything, and he gets all secretive on purpose talking to a woman (the travel agent) so uke gets paranoid and anxious thinking seme is cheating and planning to get rid of him. at some point uke starts gaslighting himself that he's overreacting or that things could be worse and that seme treats him well
in the end, uke admits he loves seme too (poor thing)

Oh yeah, and one of the side stories is the story from seme's pov. From when he was being stalked (he thought uke was pathetic and disgusting) to how he got interested in uke (kept thinking about him because he wasn't following him anymore... go figure)
