This is absolutely stockholm syndrome. Yes he cared for ML but it was definitely not in a sexual or romantic way until he was literally forced into it. Technically it might not be stockholm syndrome since it happened before he was kidnapped but essentially the same thing

Stockholm syndrome is falling in love with your captor or thinking being held captive isn't that bad to cope with the stress or trauma. This is a twisted/dark romance story. Its ok to admit this is stockholm syndrome, so many people in this site refuse to acknowledge it with these plots
I can admit it and still okay with it when i really think that it is really stockholm syndrome, but for me it isn't like that at this story. So there is no point to argue about it.
I dont think this is stockholm syndrome. Mc always liked the ml and they had a special relationship. He started to see that ml actually didnt change he still the same kid he knew. So this is why he calms down and observes but maybe this is also tactic? Right now i like both mc and ml, they are both not innocent and they have valid reasons to be the way they is. But i dont know how story will move on and what they are gonna do…
