A good teachers guidance can seriously change your life for good
Oh yes lets ignore parental abuse which could screw the life of a kid just because of not being nosy. So many people have been saved just because of good guidance from people with morals and courage.
Also its not like she went to his house and discussed/ranted to his mother

Shes a teacher.
She used to dream about something and had to give it up
She sees his dream and passion amd talent but is escaping because of external forces
She even ignores him and doesnt pry.
Whatever family business, a child should never have to hear abusive and hurtful words.
She didnt butt into his life. Shes looking from afar. She goes on with her life but they just cross paths more often. The most is her just asking.
Also, shes a teacher. And an adult. There is an underlying responsibility that most ignore, which is to observe the hardship of the youth, and guiding them.
I would argue that she doesn't pry enough for yall to be saying that
