In my opinion, Gojo chose South and his past self! (I agree a lot with this tweet if you are interested! https://x.com/TenSNeo/status/1839462327252308189?t=z1noHAcpZBZgCi617JJ2mA&s=19 (●'◡'●)ノ !)
I've been looking for a positive comment from someone who was underwhelmed from the ending. I didn't really understand the technicalities of the manga much but I knew a lot was missing. And I didn't expect more people would also feel the same. Anyway I like your opinion!! It made me see and feel about the ending in a different light. Gojo always saw yuji with potential when the whole jujutsu world saw him as a threat. Now Gojo's dreams became reality.

I really loved the ending. I know, a lot of things are missing (sadly) and other rushed, but I truly love that Gojo dream came true: jujutsu society has changed. The new generation blew away the old one. And the last panel is a mirror of the first chapter's panel, where the little house (holding Sukuna's finger) was closed. Now it's open! The curses are something to not ostracize but to comprehend. And the last panel have this strong message.
Gojo chose the South, Sukuna chose the North. The two most strong sorcerers (at least, Sukuna in the past) walked a different path.
(My favourite thing is that Takaba is living in his domain/illusion to have Kenjaku by his side because he thought that would be funny -that's how is power works).
Aaand Itadori is my ray of sunshine and seeing Nanami smiling in the colour page was heart warming. <3
