He didn't actually kill him and Daiki knew it. His grandfather had just lost his daughter, Daiki's mother, and Daiki's father wanted to leave and take Daiki with him (which is fair tbh) but he felt Daiki's father wasn't thinking straight from grief and also didn't want to lose them as well, so locked him in a room til he calmed down. He never expected Daiki's dad would shoot himself in the head. He feels insanely guilty about it but Daiki knows he didn't lock him in the room for any malicious reason.
