I thinm in their case its because theyre both guys, so she calling them two "father" may be concerning for the people around them that dont lnow abt their relationship. But for me is also so weird loool I think I would be hurt if I gave birth to a child that dont see me as their father
I feel like in japanese that’s unusual as well. Tho they also adds -san in father or daddy. The name might be to avoid confusion
