AOT’s circular ending works because it fits within the narrative and core themes that AOT had been trying to display since day 1 about Humanity’s selfishness and greed. Eren had a clear linear goal he was trying to achieve.
MHA, which recently finished, was amazing with its ending since it also had a somewhat circular ending in the sense that Deku accomplished his goal of being a strong hero and reworked society so that anyone could be a hero not just those with strong quirks.
JJK not only attempts the circular ending but he failed to stick it since Yuuji’s goals didn’t align with the story. I love Yuuji but he’s a very one dimensional character and he didn’t have any other goal other than “Be kind and never be alone” which is incredibly vague. I’m just disappointed because these characters were so cool and we were just let down like this

But then again I think it was an alright ending, not bad, just not good either. The finger at the end not being locked up representing new peace times since Sukuna moved on and Gojo’s death represented no longer needing the strongest physically but strongest in willpower showing Yuuji.
