She is hiding and trying to survive. Law is not same at all places. She is scared as she knows what he is capable of. Her target has so far been to get out of loop.
Girl she lives in Japan and clearly a city. You will not gaslight me that they don't have police.
Also she knows that the dude WILL kill her and is unstable. She's out of the loop and is in extreme danger of dying permanently. So why not call the police???
If you lived in conservative Asian country, you will know the difference. I have lived in probably one of biggest Asian city for half part of my life and then moved west. The first thing I noticed was difference in how cops and everyone treats female in West. In Asia, even a shopkeeper will talk over you to a man with when you are buying clothes for yourself. Let alone cops listening to your complaint. It is sad reality. Things are changing but not as fast as one wants
In those countries, there are no shelters to protect females during domestic violence and stalking cases. If she had parental support, she might have stayed with them and cops would have helped her if she got a supportive cop to take her case. Hiding from that clown is her primitive instinct for survival. None of the restaurant people helped her. How do you expect her to feel comfortable exposing herself.
I'm sorry that this is a reality. It really does not make sense, as someone who lives in Texas, that multiple people witnessed this and did not report anything. Adding onto that, that the girl did not call the police, if things really are this bad you have my condolences.
WHY DIDN'T THEY CALL THE POLICE? WHY IS SHE JUST MOVING ON??? Don't get me wrong I like the story but this plot hole is so huge it will swallow all of Japan.
