Hyosin and San is the couple in the first story
The second story is about Bumryung and Cheongah (this is actually happen a long time ago, even before San and Hyosin was born)
And turns out, Bumryung and Cheongah is blessed with 8 daughters, the youngest ended up marrying a human, and her son is San.
So the second couple is actually the first couple’s grandparents/ grandparents in law.
San always mentions that there is no ghost in the forest, but he always saw someone with white hair wearing red robe. And that’s Cheongah looking after his grandchild.
Thank you for explaining. Now I remember. I loved how it is all connected. The grandads are so cool. Like how he came down to collect his sister. And cheongah teasing hyosin!
