guys i just finished rereading this & we dont appreciate hak's character enough. like how he risked his life to get that medicine for soo-won, even though he hates his guts. him for the most part being the only person to (rightfully) call out soo-won for his decisions. during the sen province arc, he led the whole army (goosebumps btw) solely to protect his country. how he saved an enemy during the flood. his love for children. his love for the dragons. the fact that he's not inviincible, & has had thoughts of giving up too. & then finally there's his undying loyalty to yona, which is just so beautiful. he could've taken an easy way out by staying in the wind tribe, but he chose to follow her. and sacrificed for her. he never forced his love on her. he wished for her to end up with soo-won if it meant she would be happy. even after they ran away, he never considered making a move. idk man i just love hak sm
