If i remember correctly the difference between No.1 and No.2 is, that No.2 didnt get pampered with to follow our own history and instead developed by itself. Idk if this was also the reason for "mutations" or if they did smt else. Anyways No. 2 had different kinds of races and now they use these to upgrade No.3 or 4 (idk if its a translation error or if i missed No. 3??) This science thing gets very confusing
