I never said I didn’t support her and carcel?? I’m allowed to be sad about the ending she got with Emiliano, it was tragic? He was killed in front of her and she had to kill their baby and herself. Of course I wished for her happy ending. I never once said she should go back to him in this timeline, you’re ODing
Hey so this is a spoiler of sorts but ines never really “loved” the painter. The painter came to her in her previous life at a point where she was v heavily abused and was miserable bc of the crown prince (the red head) and for ines the painter was a form of escape. from the novel, even her getting together was described as her being a bit forceful and taking advantage of her position (and beauty) basically to get with the painter. Was she happy? Yeah because finally she had someone who didnt abuse her and make her want to kill herself, was she in love with him? No, she’s expressed that as well which is also why she doesn’t seek him out in the current lifetime because she realized what she felt back then wasnt truly love
Guys, she truly loved the painter. However, I do think it would not have lasted. Author said her love ended the moment he got shot and her feelings turned to guilt. I think what most people mistake as lingering feelings in the fourth timeline is guilt. If it wasn’t guilt, why does she hyperventilate at the thought that he has memories and he will find out what she did…that is, killed their child. Author even says she’s like a murderer who cannot forget her guilt for even a moment.
It is also true that he was a form of escape that she deliberately plotted. Most manhwa readers think she met him and fell in love. That is far from the truth. Manhwa kept things vague but in ep11, she’s sitting on top him with a cold, emotionless face. Most people don’t even realize he’s a stranger to her at this point who had nothing to do with her except as a painter to paint the crown princes’s fiancé just before their wedding in like 2-3 months.
Also, most readers went with Ines’s romanticism of that life. Ines herself admit in the novel she romanticizes her life with the painter. Why? Because she feels guilty for dragging him into her problem which led to his death. Author even says she only says good things about the painter. Most readers should realize by now that Ines is unreliable as a narrator at times.
Another thing I notice is readers focus on the fact that she had a child with him. I don’t know how they don’t realize that Ines got pregnant four times with the crown prince and those children weren’t born only because he gave her diseases. It’s a matter of course to have kids if a couple is having sex so Ines having a child with the painter is not unique in this story. In fact, the story will only prove it in spades that children are either born or conceived from all her relationships.
I know this story is for her and cárcel but man… I can’t help but want a happy ending for her and her painter…she truly loved him :( they deserved so much better.
