Ever since this scene from Little Mushroom chapter 39, I've never been the same. Let me tell you, after this scene, for the remaining of THE ENTIRE SECOND VOLUME UNTIL AN ZHE CAME BACK, I WAS BAWLING, I SERIOUSLY COULDN'T STOP CRYING. I THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA DIE LIKE THAT AND WAS NEVER GONNA SEE LU FENG AGAIN AND WHEN HE ADMITTED HE WANTED TO SEE LU FENG AGAIN I WANTED TO K*S, CAUSE HOW TF WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF THEY WERE GONNA MEET AGAIN OR NOT??? ESPECIALLY WHEN LU FENG WAS ALL THE WAY BACK IN THE HUMAN BASE WHILE HE WAS AT THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE IN THE ABYSS. DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON WHEN HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF, I'M NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY I had to put my phone down, cover my face and JUST CRY FOR A GOOD 5 MINUTES, I COULDN'T READ MORE CAUSE MY EYES WERE SO BLURRY. LIKE I WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT TO END IT ALL. AND THE

BUT THE NOVEL WAS SO SO AMAZING, LU FENG THAT MAN AND HIS FUCKING DIALOUGE, IT MADE THE STORY 100X MORE SENTIMENTAL AND THE FUCKING
"He is the one who judges me..." ARHHRHGSIGIGIRIGNGNGS. I WANNA BANG MY HEAD ON A WALL I LOVE THEM SO MUCH BUT IT BROKE ME INTO A MILLION PIECES, I WILL NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER, RECOVER FROM THE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE I GOT FROM THOSE SCENES.
LIKE I WAS DONE, IF I WASN'T SO CURIOUS WHAT HAPPENED I WOULD TOSSED MY PHONE ACROSS THE ROOM AND JUMPED THAT'S HOW DEPRESSED I WAS I WAS QUESTIONING ALL MY LIFE DESICIONS. (Like I was actually avoiding reading the novel for a long time because I HATE, HATE angst, but the manhua and the plot was so interesting and I heard so many good reviews so I decided to check it out) IT WAS THE WORST AND BEST DESCISION OF MY LIFE. LIKE IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE IVE READ A STORY THAT GOOD. (I think this was also right after I read the Rainbow City novel as well SO THE BAR WAS HIGHHH) LIKE I GOT A FEW SPOILERS AND I THOUGHT I COULD HANDLE IT, BITCH NOPE. NO AMOUNT OF SPOILERS COULD'VE PREPARED ME FOR THE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE. LIKE IF I SUED THE AUTHOR FOR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, I WOULD'VE WON THE CASE IN A HEARTBEAT.
IT WAS LIKE 1 AM AT NIGHT AND MY PILLOW WAS SOAKE, MY BED WAS FLOODED WITH TEARS, MY DESK WAS FILLED WITH SNOT FILLED TISSUE PAPER. LIKE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT NOVEL FUCKING BROKE ME, IT DESTROYED EVVERY FIBER OF MY BEING, I'M NEVER READING ANGST AGAIN BUT IT WAS SO SO GOOD. (which is why I bought the physical copy of the manhua, all the official chapters of the manhua, both physical copies of the novel raw and the official physical English copy of Judgement day) SIGHHHH
