Pleaseee I’ve been saying the same like bro we don’t need an overly masculine man with a third leg as an ML every single time. This is a refreshing point of view. I think this story centers around the FL being a badass, so if the ML is just as equally masculine, it wouldn’t work too well. There are ways the author could write it better tho, starting with making the ML less childish, but it is what it is.
Another thing is that people love to simp for ML’s and since this is not simp material, they choose to hate rather than remain neutral lol

We need to open up the schools for the kids again bc theyre forgetting that MOE exists and the emperor himself is suuuuper moe which is refreshing to see. Honestly, if ppl want to see a 1Dimensional overpowered ML whos only form of character development is cracking a smile after 55 chapters then theres plenty of other manhwas about that to read

And actually if we have only been seeing *ONE* particular type of ML, then that's actually a fault of the genre....?
The empress can be an AMAZINGLY physically strong, intelligent and witty character, without the need to demean the ML's masculinity.
Pick on the Emperor's immaturity, lacking leadership, ignorance of harem/inner palace dynamics. Not the fact he's not physically the strongest or a martial artist.
