Well imo author already said that last season almost didn't happen for some reason and since they wanted to show us the proper ending, they did! Which is absolutely amazing

The way the ending is going so good, a bit rushed but how could you imagine that differently? Beside, if the ending wasn't rushed, y'all would be complaining about you want to see them back together. If you don't like it, dont read it.
