damn, Leo really blew all his chances

In the warehouse, JJ was fully ready to get back together cos seeing injured Leo probably softened him up. Leo made a whole show of blushing and fidgeting and to this, JJ answered "Sure, I also..." SO fast, he didn't even wait for Leo to finish his sentence. Only to be slapped with "wanna be fuck buddies?"... his response, "What" was even grey-shaded to signal disappointment. The interaction wasn't a *misunderstanding* because there was nothing to misunderstand.

Leo wanted his luck back, not JJ. Sure, he misses JJ but he didn't walk into the warehouse intending to mend their relationship. He wanted his lucky charm dildo to win races again, and had too much pride to tell that to JJ straight. Instead, he talks about having slept around with multiple people, and only wanting to fuck JJ again because of their special chemistry... wtf was even JJ supposed to do.

For Leo, it was his "last chance" to keep fucking JJ, not his last chance to date JJ again. Sure, Leo "loves" JJ but until JJ left him, Leo loved himself more. "...Fuck this. I'm don't gonna date someone who hates me, anyway. I'm just doing this for my career". His pride is so high in the fucking sky, that he refuses to even consider that maybe, he wants to fuck JJ to feel a connection with him again. Because everybody wants Leo Lombardi--and not the other way around. And it's not JJ's responsibility to get Leo's head out of his ass.

Plus the only reason Leo even reached out was because he lost that race and got injured.
Proof? Leo's response to JJ agreeing to fuck was literally, "Phew, this season will be safe". Like can the author make it any more obvious than that?

It's weird seeing some people defend Leo but pile on JJ. JJ ain't fault-free and is a terrible communicator for SURE... BUT! He SHOULDN'T have to communicate wanting to be treated like a boyfriend or to feel loved; to have his needs at least addressed. Those are natural things that *come* with having a partner who supposedly loves you.

JJ TOLD Leo he wanted to go on a trip and that they hadn't done so in a long time--and Leo's response was "it's too much work and I get tired easily" but somehow not tired enough to not go to a party with randoms. He orders JJ a car to make it up--but even then, it was because HE thought JJ would look good driving it. Which is cute, yeah--but does that even address JJ's needs at all?

I know he's gaining consciousness in CH.17, but it's too little too late. It took JJ treating Leo the same way Leo treated him, for Leo to even begin to reflect a little. Not to say what JJ did was intentional, or even the right thing to do--but, yeah.

Anyway, that's my Ted Talk. Ik for some people it ain't gonna be that deep, they're right. It isn't--it's just a fictional manhwa. But we all read for different reasons; they read for theirs, and I read for mine lol.
