I don't see the issues with why everyone is upset. [Chapter 45] Aniz commentary; the ML isn't red, he's gray.

So, i get that what the male lead did was bad, and that what the mc goes through is a horrible experience, but at the same time I also know that our MC ISN'T the same woman as the wife the male lead had.

Keep in mind, that the MC is a woman who wanted to see her siblings again, no matter the cost. and we also see that the Male lead didn't know how to comfort her, he genuinely believed that bringing those children would fill her void, which is sweet and well written.

think of it like this,
A man who was neglected and abused, who didn't know how to communicate or feel or even anything else, his only two sources of understanding being his two bestfriends. and when his wife's child dies, He doesn't know how to react to that, he knows he should be sad, and he is. but he doesn't know how to comfort her, he was never taught how to. so in an attempt at comfort, he brought his bestfriend's children to her, she was crying because she lost her children and these children were technically hers- because she's the wife of their godfather, maybe if she had These children, it could help her with the grief.

but that's not what happened, in heightened grief, she snapped and it made the situation worse. but what i don't think many people understand, is that he wasn't being malicious. it was literally stated in the time when we switched to his POV that he genuinely thought he was doing a good thing, the right thing to help his wife.

--
Seperately, the MC is doing what she does for her siblings, loving those children with all her heart, well falling in love with a man who genuinely cares, but just doesn't understand how to express those words.

--
In short, the ML isn't a bad person, he isn't cold hearted and the story is well written. the male lead isn't a bad person, he's a flawed one. he isn't good at communication, and he's still making up for mistakes he couldn't take back.

He thinks with the common sense of a child, it's a flaw. but it's not a glaring one, i don't think he's a redflag. i think Ainz is trying, and the more chapters come out, the more i see it. so everyone needs to chill out alittle..

So in note|| I'll definately keep reading if more chapters come out. <3 [chapter 45].

This was also how I interpreted the story. I don't get why the others just think he's an asshole

The thing about art is that it resonates different to everyone. Maybe something it's not that bad for you it horrible and it triggers some people.
In my case, I did understand both POVs but I still think it was a shitty move, although their whole relationship was a mess (ML and OGFL).

Probably bc you can have the best intentions and still be an asshole bc you caused harm. The harm you inflicted doesn't disappear because you didn't have common sense and the victim isn't any less of one because you didn't mean to make them one. Most people who hurt others have their own problems, does that mean the victim is invalid?

Yes but thats the thing, the MC ISN'T his victim, she's a stranger living in his wife's body.
And up until the curse, the wife was practically gone.. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Well but that's another thing. Just because the OGFL isn't there anymore doesn't make everything the ML did disappear...#-.-)

I mean that arguably makes it worse? The victim is dead and died miserably after what ML did. It isnt a question of whether FL is still there to blame him, its a question of whether his thoughtless actions caused irrepparable harm and they did. Now hes acting brand new with the FL in his victim's body.
