I don’t think it’s a manhwa, it’s a web.tOon, originally by an English speaker. The author/artist has another comic where the setting is baseball

No it isn’t lol. Webtoon is an app. Look in the App Store and you’ll see an app called webtoon. Multiple people that speak English and other languages post their stories there. The reason why you may think that is because SOMETIMES webtoon chooses a manhwa to upload onto their app. But originally webtoon was for small time creators of all races

Webtoon was created by naver, they have the copyrights I was kinda joking but yeah technically Webtoon is korean since they own it, web comics is the more correct term

Everyone who commonly reads on the webtoon app and uploads their comics to webtoon, all call it webtoons. Not everyone who makes a webtoon is Korean. I know how webtoon was created but they still call it webtoons specifically for all the stories they put on the app. Check any social media of popular stories like Go away Romeo, purple hyacinth, etc. and they all aren’t Korean but have in their bios: “check out my webtoon!”

Just cause naver owns the rights to webtoon, doesn’t mean webtoon is entirely Korean lmao, that’s not how it works. Naver is Korean, webtoon is English. There’s also different versions from different countries, so like Chinese webtoon. It’s like douyin and tiktok, douyin started it, but there’s still separate. Even Chinese users of douyin consider each separate.

Anyways to clarify, manhwa is Korean, webtoon is usually referred to any stories located on the webtoon app. (Webtoon is not reserved for Korean stories since there’s tons of different country who are under the webtoon label such as China, Japan, Malaysia, etc).

As well as there’s a difference between webtoon and webcomics. Majority of the time, they use webtoon to specify stories that are in SCROLL format, for easier reading on devices. Webcomics are usually in the format of comics.

Bruh I was joking earlier I’m not that dumb, but manhwa and webtoons are actually different in Korean, I live in Korea for context but yeah if you say I like manhwas ppl will think you mean manga, while webtoon means web comics with the scroll down feature, im aware that for English context manhwa means korean comics, I was joking since earlier ppl were saying how this isn’t a manhwa or a manga. So I was saying how it’s a comic then by that logic
