Tbf he's just being treated the way he treated jj. Now that he looks back at it he's realizing how horrible he treated jj uk. I'm honestly with jj cuz he already tried many times to fix things with leo maybe the trip was for that. Ever since chapter 1 he has been trying to communicate but the other side is not interested at all. Leo was so self centred and we all have times when we sometimes focus on ourselves and forget important things like the ppl we care about but jj did try to talk things out with leo to the last point even after the breakup leo never changed.
Well he has yet to change so guess he saw how the way he treated jj took both their smiles away.

exactly! while I don't agree with JJ acting intentionally cruel, I can sympathize that it's coming from a place of hurt.. if they hadn't broken up, Leo would have never realized how he was neglecting JJ emotionally, and he woulda continued to be the way he was. Some time away from each other will be good for both of them
I don't think JJ was doing things intentionally. It's just that changing hurts. No matter what JJ does, it will end up hurting Leo. Since it's 80% on Leo's POV everything JJ does seem cruel. We don't actually know how many times JJ was ignored or how many times he rejected something but Leo insisted.
On Laos side. Like yeah, he is overstepping but not deserving any of this treatment and def not jjs horrible communication skills.
