REAL!!!! I don't need a surprising and dramatic plot twist, what the story had set up before was enough! It was great!
The "Wowie, this father sure is a baddie" plot line takes so much attention from the "Our heroine is chronically ill and will probably not live to see her wedding" and completely decimates the wonderful tension of "How will the father take the ML, even after all his effort to change?" It was the driving force of the past couple of chapters, but I guess it's totally wasted time now, because we had to have a twist villain!
I don’t like how they completely shifted the father’s personality from loving to abusive. First chapter it showed how much he loved her, so him sending her there for marriage makes no sense. It just feels like a last minute idea for them to finally get off the island. I hope they can somehow fix this idk how tho
