True isn't this like the second time he's seen her just beside a guy and immediately thought of her cheating on him? It's definately meant to be a comedic aspect of the story but it has some underlying issues

Maybe it's more of his insecurities that he thinks kyouka is gonna leave him/cheating on him. Like he feels he's not enough for her because he's just still a student and that she will find a better man one day.

Oh yea it's definately that! Which is why I think they should talk it out atleast once properly. His insecurities probably won't disappear immediately after that but it'll help a lot
