Major Kwak is a perfect mutant and does not have an obsession trait, so no his natural obsession trait will not affect the story, but he will becomes infatuated with our lovely Dr.Seok and that is very essential to the feast of the plot. There will be a character by the name of “Choi ho eon” who is the serpent and main antagonist of the story who will become obsessed with Dr.Seok and try to separate him from Major Kwak (physically), but by that point Dr.Seok and Major Kwak are obsessed with each other and have already became each other’s reason for living. (Also if you ask me, Dr.Seok is more down bad for Major Kwak than Major Kwak is of him) if you want more spoilers, the serpent “Choi ho eon” disguises himself as a researcher and infiltrates Yeouido. There’s also a reason why he becomes obsessed with Dr.Seok which I’m not gonna spoil cause then I’ll get into many many more plot points. Point is tho, he doesn’t succeed and almost causes Major Kwak to die so many times, but because of Major Kwak’s desire to alwasy want to see Dr.Seok again and promised not to ever leave him alone in this world, he survives.

(Clarity just set in, im so sorry for yelling at you but I love Dr.Seok so much and the amount of pain Choi ho eon inflicted on him was extremely painful to read and hearing that just triggered a mini explosion in my mind ╥﹏╥)

Can I ask if you know what’s happening in the raws rn? It looks like the ML saw something in MC’s room and then suddenly got angry and now is mad at him and keeping him arrested? Now it looks like ML is going to demote him? Do you know why he’s upset?

FIRSTLY LETS GET IT STRIAGHT THAT WHATEVER MAJOR DOES, IT'S FOR DR.SEOK'S OWN GOOD. okay so basically, Dr.seok wrote down notes in binary code that...well basically it's gonna get him branded as a rebel and stuff about wanting to meet choi bitch face (aka the serpent), so Major arrested him because he's showing signs of rebelling. he takes him to this place full of rotting corpses of soliders to show Dr.seok that the garden of eden is shit. (If you ask me, i believe Major Kwak is upset because he believes Dr.seok is siding with the garden of eden (the garden of eden experimented and killed a bunch of his comrades)) Anyways he locks him up in the basement and after answering a bunch of Dr.Seok's questions, he revokes his position as chief researcher. (let's get this straight okay?, if Major kwak didn't hide Dr.Seok and revoke his researcher position, it would've drawn attention from the higher ups if Dr.seok kept investigating) if you recall Major kept telling him to stop but he wouldn't. IF ANYONE ELSE IN THE SHELTER FOUND THOSE NOTES, Dr.seok would've been dead. So he's protecting him by hiding him from the view of the authorities, but on the outside, it looks like he's punishing him for "rebeling"

His behaviour is a little more extreme than that tbh. I understand being mad, but not to this point. Also he treats MC like he’s stupid, obviously he is not if he’s suspicious of what is going on. I think for now, maybe ML’s feelings aren’t that deep, and he starts liking MC later. That would explain why he doesn’t bother explaining things clearly. I'll start reading the novel and will let you know what I think later. Maybe I'll change my mind

Also, what could explaining have done? There are still certain things he couldn't tell Dr.Seok, isn't that what mother is for? Like imagine if he found the notes and was like "oops Dr.seok you can't write that cause the higher ups are gonna kill you and the garden of eden experiments on people UwU". Major Kwak IS NOT JUST A BRUTE. You know he actually cares about his fallen comrades right? THE NOVEL also states that at that time the election for first and second master (aka power control) were coming up SO IMAGINE IF THEY FOUND DR.SEOK REBELING AT THAT TIME. After ALL THE WARNINGS HES GIVEN DR.SEOK. Do you think Dr.seok would've stopped if Major just let him off on a light warning again??? NO! He had to show him the truth of what actually goes on so he would stop. And hiding him was so he wouldn't go around trying to investigate BECAUSE IF HE DI THEN THE HIGHER UPS WOULDVE FUCKING ENDED HIS LIFE. (Im sorry for yelling again, im shaking rn). Tell me, other than being rough with dr.seok, DID HE HURT HIM? DID HE SHOOT HIM? DID HE CUT HIM IN ANY WAY? DID HE HIT HIM OR TRY TO TORTURE HIM? (if you claim he did I would love to see the proof), but if not THEN NO. If he wasnt a bit rough with him and kept going "stop investigating cause it's bad" LIKE HE HAD BEEN FOR THE ENTIRE MANHWA SO FAR, SO YOU THINK DR.SEOK WOULD'VE LISTENED???? AND IF HE DIDN'T, WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT MIGHT LEAD HIM????
jesus chirst, im sorry but I just don't think you understnad major kwak's character. Of course you are welcome to argue that he was a brute and didn't care, but if you are I would like to see a complete argument with actual facts from the manhwa or novel. instead of "oh he couldve just done this" and got it over with. LISTEN im not mad, i know i sound extremely annoyed right now, but i just wanna explain that these characters actually go way deeper, cause Chaepali is actually a good author and add depth to her characters unlike other BL's you would read.

No wait a second I started reading the novel and because ML locked MC up and left him alone, a soldier infected with Adam virus came in and bit him. This is not keeping him safe. Btw I said that I'll maybe change my mind when I read the novel. I just don’t have all the facts yet.
