It's sad

It's sad that the author didn't get to flesh things out like they wanted, and they still get the hate (according to the extra). I think that's why the story doesn't make sense, because there are too many plots that ended nowhere. I feel that with time, the author would have fleshed everything the way they wanted, and it would have been good.
And it's even sadder to be told at 38 chapters to be cut off at 40. The story is good at the beginning, so if the author planned for it to be short, the plot would have been more straightforward.
