I would like to recommend some of my personal favourites but I like suffering too
"Life Senjou no Bokura" - i just cried to the whole thing, has a beautiful but heartwrenching ending
"Kowagaranai de, Soba ni Ite" - another good one, I also cry to it every time, it just hurts
"A Thousand Cranes" - the author knew what they were doing, one of their best works although all the works they have written are life SSS+ Tier in my opinion
"Hinadori wa Shiokaze ni Madoromu" - my absolute favourite, this is my go to for everything I love it, it heartbreaking, so lovely, absolutely connected with the sea, like this is my top, the end chapters I think from 8 and so on are what always break me the most
"My Childhood Friend Was a God" - one-shot, a one-shot to your feelings
"Taming the Tiger" - absolutely love the story the character, everything about it and their ending is just a tragedy but also so beautifully told (I would recommend also from the same author the Yellow dragon, also hits very hard). Both stories like build up and the hurt is mostly by the end but they are both incredibly good
"Over Run" - very beautiful, rather realistic i would say, ore more realistic than others, it's very good, very painful I sometimes cases but the ending is all worth it in my opinion, I made me cry in many chapters
And if you want after all that suffering to read something sweet and to numb everything, forget the heartwrench read "Our sunny days" it's the best the creme ala creme nothing bad happens and makes you forget everything bad as well

“The Chronicle of Teenage Boys,” chapters 87 - 89.
