Many of the knights have already years of experience under their belt. Even the 2 squires (by far the most inexperience, excluding Maxi) have years of training before even joining this campaign.

Sure Riftan has the veto power, but, he is also the commander of his army. That doesn't mean he can make all the decisions by himself. He still needs to take his knight's opinions into consideration, but that doesn't mean he agree with them.
