Ido is the one that remember the 1st life and try to redeem himself but he felt that he can't be forgiven at all, that's why he kinds of create a line between them

Sejin does not remember anything from their first life apart from the nightmare he had. Ido the one that remember everything about Sejin because of the first life experience. So in the second life he redeem himselt in giving Sejin a better and independent life in the second.
